As they saying goes, “When you know, you know”, a perfect adage for the love story of Jess and Mike. These two lovely people originally met online and felt an instant connection. They alternated traveling between Montreal, where Jess is from; and London, where Mike lived while their love grew. Just as they initially expected, they’re meant to be together, so Jess packed her bags and moved to Britain for good!
Mike and Jess chose the Camden Town Hall for their ceremony. Prior to taking their vows, the bridal party had a great time getting ready at the gorgeous and historic, recently renovated St. Pancras Grand Hotel, which is just down the street from the town hall.
For her charming vintage look, Jess wore a beautiful and classic Oleg Cassini dress, and had her hair and makeup done by Lipstick & Curls. The bridal party wore beautiful dark lace dresses and upswept hair – perfect touches to finish off the overall vintage vibe.
After the ceremony we were lucky enough to take some pictures on the roof with St. Pancras providing a beautiful and iconic backdrop. Afterwards an old route master transported the bridal party to a nearby park for some more pictures, then we were off to the Conway Hall in Holborn to continue the celebration and enjoy a delicious dinner catered by Ellis Catering Company.
Mike’s band, Dead on T.V. and DJ Martin Joyce provided great retro music and quite a few people gave excellent speeches that had everyone dabbing their eyes and laughing out loud – especially the best man’s speech, just look at the couple’s reaction!
While the wedding was full of friends and family from both Mike and Jess’s sides, some of Jess’s loved ones from Canada couldn’t attend. Even still, they sent their recorded well wishes on a video for the couple, providing an unexpected and touching surprise.
